Governance and Community-Driven Disputes
Instead of a big company being the final judge, Sendit’s community governs itself through a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).
Community Voting: Every Sendit token holder has a voice. Important questions like fee changes, new features, or how to handle disputes are put to a vote. Members stake tokens to propose and vote on ideas. All votes are transparent and recorded on-chain, so the process is fair and cannot be tampered with.
Handling Disputes: If a buyer and seller have a disagreement (say a product was not delivered as promised), the case can be escalated to the DAO. Selected community members (who have volunteered as arbitrators and have staked tokens) review the evidence and vote on a resolution. This way, disputes are settled by neutral peers, not by a faceless customer support agent.
Incentives for Good Governance: DAO participants who stake tokens to make fair decisions can earn rewards. This encourages knowledgeable people to participate rather than rushing through votes. It’s like having a neighborhood jury that gets rewarded for carefully doing its civic duty.
Transparency and Trust: Because everything is on the blockchain, anyone can see how disputes were resolved and how the community voted. There’s no secret algorithm or hidden rulebook. This transparency builds trust in the system itself.
The key idea: You the community help run Sendit. By using the DAO, Sendit stays true to its decentralized promise. It ensures that the marketplace rules evolve according to user needs, and that any conflicts are settled openly and democratically.
